Role Overview
As CMO, you’ll take charge of our marketing strategy, brand development, and client acquisition. This is a hands-on role ideal for a marketing leader who thrives in a startup environment. You’ll work closely with our CEO and the board, helping to align marketing initiatives with the company’s broader business objectives. You’ll lead a small but capable team, working closely with our designer and marketing/comms professional to bring our vision to life.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute a marketing strategy that aligns with our business goals and target audience.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a small marketing team, including a designer and a mar-tech personnel, performance marketer and content producer, ensuring efficient and effective campaign execution.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with the CEO and the board to ensure the marketing strategy supports overall business goals, providing clear, actionable updates on marketing initiatives.
  • Brand Development: Build and maintain a strong, consistent brand identity across all channels, leveraging your team’s creative and technical skills.
  • Content Marketing: Oversee content creation, from blog posts to social media and email campaigns, collaborating with the team to deliver engaging and informative content.
  • Lead Generation: Design and implement lead generation campaigns, working with the team to drive client acquisition and conversion.
  • Digital Marketing: Manage our online presence, including website, social media, SEO, and paid advertising efforts, with the support of your technically capable marketing team member.
  • Partnerships: Identify and establish strategic partnerships to expand our market reach.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Use analytics and market research to measure campaign performance and optimise strategies for maximum impact.
  • Budget Management: Allocate and manage the marketing budget effectively, working with your team to maximise ROI.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in marketing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience managing stakeholders at various levels, including C-suite and board members.
  • Experience leading small marketing teams and collaborating effectively with creative and technical professionals.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and content marketing.
  • Working knowledge and experience with tools like Google Analytics, SEO, social media platforms, and email marketing software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
